Do I need an account?
No. The calculator works without signing up. Your progress stays in this browser tab until you close it.
What's the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit as a share of the selling price. Markup is profit as a share of your costs. £5 profit on a £15 item that costs £10 is a 33.3% margin and a 50% markup.
Do you include marketplace fees automatically?
No. Fees change, so you enter the current rates for your channel. We never claim a rate is up to date.
Does it include VAT or income tax?
No. Results are pricing estimates and don't replace tax or accounting advice.
Do I have to count my time?
We strongly suggest it. You can leave labour out, but we'll warn you that your costs may be understated.
Is my data stored?
Guest calculations stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
