Who we are
CraftMargin is run by [business name to be added], [address to be added]. For privacy questions, contact [email to be added].
Using the calculator without an account
The guest calculator runs in your browser. While you work, your figures are kept in your browser's session storage for that tab, so they disappear when you close it. They are not sent to us.
If you choose to save a guest calculation to an account, a copy is kept in your browser's local storage until you sign in and save it, or discard it. It is sent to us only when you save it.
What we store when you create an account
- Sign-in details: your email address. If you use a password, it is stored by our sign-in service in a scrambled (hashed) form we can't read. If you sign in with Google or Lovable, we receive your email address and basic profile details from that service.
- Preferences: display name, currency, hourly rate and target margin.
- Your workspace: products, materials, fee profiles, cost history and saved scenarios you create.
- Plan status: whether you're on Free or Pro. Online payments are not switched on yet, so we hold no card or bank details.
Your browser also keeps a sign-in token so you stay signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
We use this information only to provide CraftMargin to you: to sign you in, save and show your work, apply your plan's limits, and send emails you ask for, such as password reset links. [Legal basis to be confirmed by a professional; usually "performance of a contract".]
Services that help us run CraftMargin
- Lovable Cloud hosts the website and stores account and workspace data. The hosting also keeps basic technical request records (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the service.
- Google, only if you choose Google sign-in.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when pages load.
- A payment provider will process Pro payments once checkout opens. This policy will be updated to name it before anyone can be charged.
[Where data is stored and any international transfer safeguards to be confirmed.] We don't sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and workspace while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and everything in your workspace are deleted straight away. [Retention of backups and technical logs to be confirmed.]
Your choices and rights
- Download: Settings → Data → "Download all my data" gives you a copy of your profile and workspace.
- Correct: edit your preferences, products and materials at any time.
- Delete: Settings → Data → "Delete my account" permanently removes your account and data.
If you're in the UK or EU you also have rights under data protection law, including to object or ask for access, and to complain to a regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Contact us at [email to be added].
Changes
We'll update this page when the way CraftMargin uses data changes, and change the date at the top.
